Hernán Cáceres

Executive Director of the National Institute of Lithium and Salars (INLiSa) of Chile. An Industrial Engineer with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering specializing in Operations Research, he has led science, technology, and innovation initiatives focused on sustainable mining, the energy transition, and regional development. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN) and as Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park Foundation. In addition to his academic and management career, he is a trained musician, studied clarinet at the Liceo Experimental Artístico of Antofagasta, and actively performs with the UCN Orchestra.
